On the other hand, there are just some game composers that can't be beat. There's nothing that can compare with listening to a Yasunori Mitsuda album while walking through a forest on a nice evening. Chrono Cross, Super Smash Bros. Brawl, Katamari Damacy, and Super Metroid are among my favorite mainstream soundtracks. I also love the Metroid cover band, Stemage, and Mitsuda's non-game album KiRite.
As for myself, I'm a Graphic Design major at Eastern Michigan University, though I plan on professionally studying animation sometime in my life. Game music always makes for good background music for animation demo reels and I love transposing it to play on the guitar too.
