Brief Profile
Born in Saitama in 1983, Yoshimi Kudo is a new recruit at Hitoshi Sakimoto's game music production company Basiscape. During high school, Kudo gained musical experience as the composer and guitarist for a progressive rock band that he formed with friends. He joined Shobi University in 2001, specialising in contemporary composition. While there, he also arranged and performed music for big band.
In the second half of 2007, Kudo joined Basiscape with Azusa Chiba and initially produced a remix of "Boss Scene 6" for the Darius Remix album. On this work, he was keen to maintain the attraction of the original while adding something new. He subsequently composed a vocal theme for the flight simulator Tori no Hoshi: Aerial Planet. He also worked on the fighting game BLEACH Heat the Soul 5 adapting to the established oriental rock styles of the series.
In 2008, Kudo participated in his first game project with the visual novel game L no Kisetsu 2: Invisible Memories. Here he crafted five compositions with very different moods and styles. There are no other works involving him known, but he is anticipated to generate a large resume quickly given Basiscape's numerous game projects for early 2008.
