Best Game Music of 2007 :: Editorial by Staff and Contributors

It's time for Square Enix Music Online to celebrate the best original scores and arranged albums of 2007. This year five of our staff members and contributors decided what their favourites were and explain their opinions in their write-ups. Chris has also compiled an article about what he considers the Best Game Music Artists of 2007.

This year has seen many important releases. Original scores have included Crisis Core Final Fantasy VII, Etrian Odyssey, Ys Origin, Wild Arms V, and Eternal Sonata. There have been fewer arranged albums, but those released include Darius Remix, Extra - Official Compilation, Distant Worlds - Music from Final Fantasy, and several Mega Man albums.

Please note that this is intended to reflect the opinions of the individuals, not the masses. However, next year we'll supplement the editorial with a site-based vote to determine the most popular albums of 2008. Now let's see everyone's favourites:
