BiographyI've been listening to music from my earliest years. Back then, it was classical. Fantasia was my favorite Disney movie as a child. Video games have also held a certain attraction for me since I was very young, and I grew up through the SNES/Genesis era. I didn't really get into video game music, however, until Middle School. My first game music CD was the Final Fantasy N Generation arrange disc released by Tokyopop, and my first import album was the Final Fantasy VI Original Sound Version. Since then, I've bought many, many albums, and I continue to do so today, even though I've rediscovered classical music since entering college. (In classical, I like anything from Mozart to Schoenberg, but especially Mahler, JS Bach, Debussy, and Stravinsky.) I've been studying the Japanese language feverishly for a while now, and hopefully it's started to amount to something. I'll be doing translation work, primarily, but you may see a review from me every once in a while. I hope to produce translations that are as accurate as possible, while still sounding like natural English. My favorite video game soundtracks are Xenogears (also my favorite video game) and Vagrant Story, my favorite movie is Christopher Nolan's Memento, and I've read Tolstoy's War and Peace. Be glad you've never met someone quite as strange as me. Site RoleMy role on the site is primarily translating Japanese to English. I am primarily focusing on reviving the liner notes section of the site with translations of particularly interesting commentaries. From time to time, I may also contribute interview translations and reviews. Contributed Reviews
