Site Contributors :: Kimberly BomanI was born and raised in Oregon. I came to love video games at a young age while watching my older brother, Chris, play classics such as Super Mario Bros., The Legend of Zelda, and Metroid. It was in my early teens that I stumbled across the Final Fantasy series and realized that I not only loved the games themselves but their amazing musical scores as well. The musical score from Final Fantasy VI was what really inspired me to start arranging. Soon after, I was arranging music from Secret of Mana, Chrono Trigger, The Legend of Zelda, and many others. I took piano lessons for a year or two but admit that I wasn't disciplined enough to stick to it and as a result my ability to play the piano could use improvement. I would rather just "play by ear." I do enjoy learning a challenging piece every now and then, even if it does take me months to master it. My other interests in the way of music include singing. I love to sing Broadway-type and Disney music. My dream would have been singing and performing as a Disney character, however cheesy it may sound. I also played the flute for six years while in my teens and I still pick it up every now and then. I am the first to admit that my knowledge of music technicality is far from perfect. I really hope to be able to acquire a better understanding of music someday and a better version of Finale! I try to arrange my pieces to sound as close to the original score as possible but I enjoy throwing in my own flair here and there. I like to arrange pieces in varying levels of difficulty so that many people can enjoy them. I also think that my arrangements are never complete and I'm always making changes to improve them. I currently live in southern California with my wonderful husband of six years, Danny, and our three beautiful children. I love being a mom more than anything else and I believe it is the most rewarding job in the world. In addition to games and music I enjoy movies, eating junk food, watching home decorating shows, scrap-booking, and most of all, spending time with my family. Contributed Arrangements
