Description
On September 15, 1991 at Tokyo, the first Orchestral Game Concert occurred. It featured popular music from the Wizardry, Dragon Quest, Super Mario, The Legend of Zelda, Populous, Romance of the Three Kingdoms, and Final Fantasy series. With direction by Koichi Sugiyama, various composers, arrangers, and conductors united to produce an unprecedented and highly successful event. The concert inspired annual follow-ups till 1995.
